SMS Terms of Service
1. Overview
These SMS Terms of Service ("SMS Terms") govern your receipt of text messages from Better Boss ("we," "us," "our"), a JobTread Certified Implementation Partner headquartered in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. By opting in to receive SMS messages from Better Boss, you agree to these SMS Terms, our Privacy Policy, and any applicable terms of your wireless service provider.
Better Boss provides construction and roofing business consulting services, including JobTread software implementation, automation, and fractional CTO services. Our SMS program supports the delivery of these services to you.
2. Program Description
When you opt in, you may receive text messages from Better Boss including:
- Transactional Messages: Appointment reminders, account notifications, implementation status updates, onboarding alerts, and service-related communications
- Promotional Messages (separate opt-in required): Tips and best practices for your construction business, event invitations (webinars, conferences), special offers, and marketing updates
Message Frequency: Message frequency may vary. Transactional messages are sent as needed based on your service engagement. Promotional messages are sent no more than 8 times per month.
3. Opt-In and Consent
By checking the applicable consent checkbox(es) on our form and providing your mobile phone number, you expressly consent to receive the specified category of text messages from Better Boss at the phone number provided. Consent categories include:
- Service Notifications: Account alerts, appointment reminders, and service-related messages
- Marketing Messages: Promotional content, tips, offers, and event invitations
SMS consent is not a condition of purchase. You are not required to opt in to SMS messages in order to use our services, submit a form, or complete any transaction with Better Boss. Marketing SMS consent cannot be mandatory and will never block form submission.
Entering a phone number alone does not grant Better Boss permission to send SMS messages. Consent must be provided explicitly through the consent checkboxes on our opt-in form. Users must be 18 or older.
4. Opt-Out Instructions
You may opt out of receiving SMS messages from Better Boss at any time:
- Reply STOP: Text STOP to any message from Better Boss to immediately unsubscribe from all SMS communications
- Email: Send an opt-out request to nick@mybetterboss.ai
- Contact Us: Call or message us directly to request removal from our SMS list
After opting out, you will receive a one-time confirmation message. No additional messages will be sent unless you re-opt in.

6. Message & Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply. Better Boss does not charge fees for SMS messages, but your mobile carrier's standard message and data rates may apply depending on your wireless plan. Contact your wireless provider for details about your plan and any applicable charges.
7. Privacy and Data Sharing
Your privacy is important to us. Regarding SMS communications:
- Your phone number and SMS consent information are not shared with third parties for their marketing purposes
- We may share your phone number only with our SMS service provider(s) solely to deliver text messages on our behalf
- Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy
- SMS consent data is stored securely and separately from other marketing consents
No Third-Party Sharing: We do not sell, rent, or share your phone number or SMS consent information with any third parties for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Information is shared only with SMS service providers as necessary to deliver messages.
8. Supported Carriers
Our SMS program is available on all major U.S. wireless carriers including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, US Cellular, and other supported carriers. Carrier support may change without notice. T-Mobile is not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
SMS messages are provided on an "as-is" basis. Better Boss makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the availability, timeliness, or accuracy of SMS messages. We are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages due to carrier issues, network outages, device incompatibility, or other circumstances beyond our control.
10. Changes to These Terms
Better Boss reserves the right to modify these SMS Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued participation in our SMS program after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
